Science Behind: Humidifiers
Now that it’s cold and dry out, many people use humidifiers in their homes. Did you know that there are three main types of humidifiers?
There are the vaporizer humidifiers, which act as an electric heating unit. When you put water into this humidifier, the electric component of this humidifier heats up the water and releases steam into the room it is in.
There are also the ultrasonic humidifiers, which have a component that vibrates rapidly and breaks the water that is placed into the machine into a mist - which is then released.
Lastly, there is the evaporative humidifier, which runs dry air into the machine and through a filter, releasing water in return.
